Finding the White Horse

From Brighton and the West
A27 east to Polegate, A22 to the Bowship Roundabout at Horsebridge, A277 to Herstmonceux. Drive through the village and turn left at the first lane, marked Bodle Street Green. Stay on this road for about 5 minutes and you’ll see the pub in front of you. The car park is on the left.

From Hastings and the East
A2100 east towards Battle, A271 to Windmill Hill. Drive through the village and turn right at the first lane, marked Bodle Street Green. Stay on this road for about 5 minutes and you’ll see the pub in front of you. The car park is on the left.

From East Grinstead and the North via the A22
From East Grinstead and the north on the A22
A22 south to the Bowship Roundabout at Horsebridge, A277 to Herstmonceux. Drive through the village and turn left at the first lane, marked Bodle Street Green. Stay on this road for about 5 minutes and you’ll see the pub in front of you. The car park is on the left.

From Sevenoaks and the North on the A21
A21 south to Tunbridge Wells. Take A26 and follow the road through Southborough to the junction with the A267. Follow this through Heathfield and then take the B2096 right turn towards Battle. Turn right at the Swan at Dallington and follow the signs down this narrow lane to Bodle Street Green. You’ll see the pub on the right with the car park just beyond it.

From Eastbourne and the South
A22 north to the Bowship Roundabout at Horsebridge, A277 to Herstmonceux. Drive through the village and turn left at the first lane, marked Bodle Street Green. Stay on this road for about 5 minutes and you’ll see the pub in front of you. The car park is on the left.

From Heathfield
A265 east towards Hawkhurst and almost immediately take the B2096 marked Battle. At the Swan Inn at Dallington turn right and follow the signposts to Bodle Street. The pub and the car park are on the right.
